Apple Farms Shuttle and Traffic Info for October 2018

To make things more enjoyable for the traveling public as well as residents in the area who see an influx of 5,000 additional cars on any given weekend day in October, we’re introducing the free Apple Farms Shuttle which will run every Saturday and Sunday in October.

Free parking for shuttle users has been made available by SMUD at the Sierra Pacific Industries parking lot, located at 2796 Larsen Drive in Camino. Motorists driving westbound on Highway 50 can take Exit 54 (Camino), turn right onto Carson Road and right onto Larsen Drive. The parking lot will be on the right. Motorists driving eastbound on Highway 50 can take Exit 54 (Cedar Grove), turn left onto Carson Road and right onto Larsen Drive.

El Dorado Transit will have four busses driving the 10.8-mile loop, leaving in 15-20-minute increments. The first Apple Farms Shuttle will depart at 9:00 am and the last will depart at 4:00 pm.

  • Apple Pantry Farm/North Canyon Cider Company
  • Larsen Apple Barn (Sundays only)
  • Rainbow Orchards

The Apple Farms Shuttle busses hold more than 30 passengers and bikes can be loaded for the trip. The shuttle is wheelchair and handicap accessible.
